NOC Engineer

Description

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer’s primary responsibilities are to provide tier 1 and 2 support to our customers, interface with our ticketing system, work in our Managed Services system, and provide backup support for our Field Engineer staff. NOC Engineers need to have excellent customer service skills, possess problem solving skills, and be genuinely interested in helping people as well as have a passion for IT. 

As most of our NOC support consists of remote phone support, excellent verbal communication skills are a must. Patience, tact, and the ability to handle pressure are important as the users/clients may be in distress when they call. 

Being able to work independently as well as part of a team is critical. 

Qualifications

  • Operating systems - Windows XP/7/8, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
  • Working knowledge of VMware and cloud computing
  • Familiar with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010/2013 and/or Office 365
  • Provide end user desktop support of Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP software
  • Knowledge of server, desktop, and laptop hardware
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and be flexible
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with a team to remotely correct client issues
  • Certifications or Degree in Information Technology or related field helpful
  • Hands on experience with Desktop and Server Operating Systems

Field Engineer

Description

The Field Engineer’s primary responsibilities are to provide onsite and occasional remote support to our customers and manage projects.  Field Engineers need to have excellent customer service skills, possess problem solving skills, and be genuinely interested in helping people as well as have a passion for IT.
